The penultimate week of league action

Having clinched the Eastern Premier League title despite a loss to Carlton in week 16 Heriot’s will be able to celebrate at Goldenacre this Saturday.

For the penultimate league fixture of 2022 against eighth placed Stoneywood Dyce the Edinburgh side are boosted by the return of Joe Kinghorn-Gray, Hayes van der Berg, Michael Shean and Adrian Neill.

Sawan Kumar comes into the visiting side.

Second placed Gen!us Grange are travelling across the capital to play sixth placed Watsonians.

Ryan Flannigan, Haris Ali and Harris Carnegie join the Grange side with George Baltzer, Sean Ridge and Farhan Khan coming into the home XI.

Craig Wallace and Joseph Laing join the third placed Forfarshire side as they head to fourth placed Carlton.

Fifth placed RH Corstorphine welcome ninth placed Falkland to Barnton.

Elliot Rousen and Rob Taylor come into the home side while visiting skipper Lyle Robertson returns.

Seventh placed Stewart’s Melville host bottom side Arbroath whose relegation was confirmed last weekend.

Matthew Hurst and Matthew Parker come into the visiting team.

Meanwhile, in the Western Premier League the battle for the title goes on.

Leaders Prestwick host sixth placed Ayr with the former naming an unchanged XI.

Hamza Tahir, Robbie Walsh and Puskar Bhandari join the Ayr team.

Second placed M8 Driving Ferguslie make the trip to Titwood to take on third placed Clydesdale.

Omi Hussain joins the visiting ranks with Clydesdale naming an unchanged XI.

Fourth placed McCrea FS West of Scotland are visiting bottom side Calero Kelburne.

Jak O’Connell and Zain Muhammad return for Kelburne.

Tunnocks Uddingston are fifth and in fine fettle after a record breaking run chase against Kelburne last time out. As a result they are unchanged as they make the trip to eighth placed Langside.

Finally, ninth placed SM Cricket Stirling County have Tom Jones coming into their side for the home clash with seventh placed Your Move Dumfries.

Chris Bellwood and Robert McBride are into the Dumfries XI for this one.
