Scotland have named their squad for the ICC U19 CWC Qualifier in Jersey.

The U19 CWC Qualifier – Europe division 1, will take place between the 24th of July and the 1st of August.

All-rounder James Dickinson will lead his team to Jersey, while former Scotland captain Gordon Drummond and Cedric English will coach the promising youngsters.

The double round robin will decide which European country will get a chance to compete in the U19 Cricket World Cup in 2018 to be held in New Zealand.

The U19s have been in good form already this season with two wins against the Development XI and a clean-sweep 3-0 against the already qualified Namibia at Stirling last week.

On the announcement of the squad Gordon Drummond said, “We’re off the back of a really competitive set of fixtures against Namibia and the guys are improving game after game.

There is no doubt the potential and the high skill level within this squad and we’re looking forward to getting out there and playing some tough cricket.”
