The third Wee Bash tournament of the season was held on Sunday 16th at Tollcross International Swimming Centre in Glasgow. Once again, teams from all over Scotland enjoyed some excellent 6-a-side indoor cricket and it was good to catch up with everyone….and enjoy some Christmas tunes and chocolate!
After the round robin matches the third/fourth place play-off was played between the young Stew Mel CC team and the particularly festive looking Galloway Gold team. Stew Mel CC took third place but it was Galloway Gold who won the title of “most Christmassy” team for the day.
The grand final was a local affair with Glasgow Uni CC/West of Scotland CC playing the other West of Scotland CC team, with some fantastic cricket on display. West of Scotland CC took the honours and top points, chasing the GUCC/WoSCC total down with 8 balls to spare.
A big thank you to the umpires and scorers and we look forward to seeing everyone again in Edinburgh on 20 January in the New Year!
