Scotland’s under 19s take on Namibia at New Williamfield in three 50 over contests starting Tuesday in Stirling ahead of their ICC U19 World Cup Qualifiers in Jersey.

Following two wins against the Development XI in Uddingston the U19s will be looking to continue their progress against visitors Namibia.
It’s an opportunity to push their way into the eyes of the selectors with the important tournament on the horizon, where they will face Denmark, Jersey and Ireland.

Ahead of the three matches U19 Head Coach Gordon Drummond said, “This is another great opportunity for the boys to assess their progress going in to the qualifiers. Namibia u19s automatically qualified for the world cup in NZ and will provide the guys with a stern test. Its great for our guys to experience playing different opposition and adding to the games against the Dev X! and Guernsey we feel the guys will have had a suitable preparation programme to hit the ground running in Jersey. I’m sure this series will be an exciting challenge for our boys.”

The matches will start at 11am in Stirling.

U19 Squad for Namibia: Owais Shah (Poloc), Callum Garden (Forfarshire), John Oliver (Glasgow Accies), Rory Johnston (Forfarshire), Finlay McCreath (Warwickshire), Tom Diamond (Aberdeenshire), William Hardie (Forfarshire), James Dickinson (Leicestershire), Angus Beattie (Carlton), Ihtisham Mailk (Poloc), Oliver Brown (Watsonians), Haroon Tahir (Ferguslie), Aliyan Qureshi (Clydesdale), Angus Hinton (Carlton)
