West vs Highlanders May 2011

 


The Western Warriors take on the Caley Highlanders this Sunday (29 May) in a top of the table Regional Series battle at Uddingston’s, Bothwell Castle Policies, starting at 12 Noon. The 40 over a side clash features the two unbeaten sides in this year’s competition; with both having recorded wins over the Eastern Knights in their opening matches. The winner of this match will go clear at the top of the table and seize the initiative heading into the nine match T20 phase. The champion Highlanders include Fraser Burnett to their squad to replace the unavailable Ryan Watson, while the Warriors Coach Tony Judd has called up Dumfries opener Tom McBride to bolster the batting and given a debut to Kelburne’s emerging young all rounder Steven McLister.
