As we head into the final month of the domestic season, five Scottish cricket grounds look forward to hosting big events this weekend.

On Saturday at Arbroath, it’s the CSL Grand Final with WDCU Champions Ferguslie taking on Grange who were recently crowned Eastern Premier League champions. Both teams are in great form having each won their final league matches in emphatic style last weekend.

Freuchie plays host to the EPL Play-Off also this Saturday where Stoneywood Dyce will face Kelso for a place in next years top tier league. It’s over 18 years since Kelso played in the national top league having previously played in the SNCL, whilst Stoneywood Dyce will be looking for a quick return having been relegated from the EPL in 2016.

Perthshire hosts the U16’s Regional T20 Finals on Saturday as the Highlanders, the Warriors and the Knights travel to Perth Doo’cot. Three matches will be played throughout the day in the round-robin winner takes all format.

On Sunday, Grange plays host to the final matches of the Tilney Regional T20 Blitz with the Knights taking on the Highlanders at 11am followed by the final match at 3pm seeing the Knights versus the Warriors. With a two-point lead over the Warriors, the Knights know a win versus the Highlanders will crown them as champions with a game to spare.

The final event this weekend at Titwood will see Forfarshire, Grange, Clydesdale and either Poloc or Carlton compete for U18’s T20 Scottish Cup. Poloc and Carlton will play their Quarter Final in the morning with the winner then taking their place in the early afternoon semi-finals. The final is due to start at 4.15pm.

Five exciting cricket events in the penultimate weekend of an amazing season which has produced the most domestic cricket played throughout the country in recent times.
