Recruitment at Cricket Scotland

Cricket Scotland welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and communities to ensure that Cricket Scotland best represents those who are passionate about the game.

In order to recruit the best people into the organisation it is essential that we have a consistent and transparent recruitment process which can be applied to all recruitment within Cricket Scotland. The recruitment process is not just about employers identifying suitable employees for the future, it’s also about candidates finding out more about Cricket Scotland and considering whether the organisation is one where they would like to work.

We particularly encourage applications from disabled people and those from ethnically and culturally diverse communities – both of whom are currently under-represented within Cricket Scotland.

Our recruitment process:

  • Recruitment is managed via our Applied platform. Applied uses blind recruitment and the most predictive measures to determine the best candidates for the organisation’s roles; regardless of their background and providing a journey people love.
  • New vacancies are advertised on Applied and the Cricket Scotland website and with selected partners site, for example:
    • sportscotland, BEMS, Scottish Disability Sport, LEAP sports
  • Shortlisted candidates will be selected by a panel and invited for interview
  • The number of shortlisted candidates and interview process will be proportionate to the size and scale of the role
  • Interviews may be conducted online or in person
  • In some cases, candidates may be invited for interview before the advertised closing date
  • We are unable to provide sponsorship for a work visa so candidates should ensure they already have or are able to obtain the right to work in the UK before applying
  • Depending on the nature of the role, we will always consider peoples personal circumstances and offer flexible working conditions, including remote working

Cricket Scotland is strongly committed to the promotion of equality and diversity in its employment practices, and to making its services as accessible as possible. As part of our work to achieve these goals, we need to collect personal data which will be handled in the strictest confidence and will only be used for statistical monitoring purposes. Candidates are encouraged to complete our online equality monitoring form which is supplied with the role advert.
