Everyone at Cricket Scotland was saddened to hear the news that Past President Brian Adair passed away this week.

A keen supporter of the national side Brian was at the Grange in September to watch Scotland play Zimbabwe.

He served as President of the Scottish Cricket Union in 1983 and Chair in 1986 and continued to be an influential member of the SCU Committee for many years.

He played over 400 matches for the 1st XI of his club, Watsonians, before going on to work tirelessly behind the scenes serving on their committee for many years. He was instrumental in their ground being upgraded for regular use by the national side during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The organisation sends its condolences to Mona, his family and all his friends across the cricket community.
