Cameron to join Scotland in PNG

Cricket Scotland has today confirmed that Scott Cameron will replace Josh Davey in the Scotland squad for the coming World Cricket League Championship matches in Papua New Guinea.

Davey will miss out on the trip to Port Moresby after suffering from pain in his left knee following a heavy workload with his end of season county commitments at Somerset CCC.

Former U19 seam bowler Scott Cameron who earned his first cap during Scotland’s game against Marylebone Cricket Club in August will be looking to bolster the seam options available to Head Coach Grant Bradburn in the One Day International’s Amini Park.

Cameron has also put in a number of notable performances with both the ball and bat for the Caledonian Highlanders in the CS Regional series.

Scotland’s first match of their PNG tour will commence with the four-day encounter with PNG on Sunday 1st October, before the two ODIs in the World Cricket League Championship on 6th and 8th October.
