Cricket Scotland are pleased to announce dates for our `Junior Cricket Roadshow` Forums this coming November. Cricket Scotland staff will be presenting on All Stars Cricket and the exciting Junior Cricket Formats proposal.
We had an incredible first year with 931 youngsters across 42 clubs registering for All Stars Cricket in Scotland. There were over 37,000 registrations UK-wide, representing one of the most successful entry level programmes ever launched in the UK!
We could not have achieved this without the support from clubs like yours, and some of the headline achievements you can all be proud of were:
• 71% of participants and their families were new to cricket
• Over 170 girls registered
• 48% of clubs saw new volunteers helping out
• 85% of participants said they would return next year!
We would love you to get involved and would like to invite you to our roadshows during November to tell you all about our exciting plans to make All Stars even bigger and better next year. At the roadshow we will cover:
• Review of 2017
• 2018 enhancements based on your feedback from participating clubs about local marketing support, the systems and the financial model
We aim to have all clubs that delivered All Stars in 2017 on board again for 2018, along with welcoming as many new clubs that want to be part of the All Stars revolution!
Junior Cricket Formats – More Action, Better Skills, Less Time!
The 2nd part of the Roadshow will cover the new junior format proposals for 2018. These exciting changes to junior league cricket will have huge long-term benefits for clubs and players. We will outline the research behind the changes, what they will look like, and how they will benefit your club and junior players in the long-term.
We strongly encourage clubs to have their Junior Convenor and junior coaches attend, as this will directly impact on them.
