Training sessions have been going on up and down the country for a number of weeks now as restrictions have started to ease, while many clubs have taken part in friendly matches over the last couple of weekends as the excitement continues to build ahead of the 2021 domestic cricket season.
With restrictions easing even further from May 17, senior leagues around Scotland are due to get going from May 22 onwards, and here at Cricket Scotland we want to let you know how we will be covering the action over the coming months.
Experienced journalists Jake Perry and Gary Heatly are on board to keep an eye on everything that is going on and they are looking forward to re-engaging with the Scottish cricket community after a quiet 2020.
Every week throughout the season they will be bringing us written and audio content to highlight not just the fixtures and the results, but also to shine a light on some of those behind the headlines – the people that make every club tick.
Of course, as things get going and the league and cup campaigns begin to twist and turn, content may differ from week to week, but Jake and Gary are committed to bringing you at least the following to make sure you get your domestic cricket fix:
Every Thursday from May 20:
A preview of club action for the weekend ahead, focusing on leagues below the Eastern and Western Premier Divisions and the Women’s Premier League.
Every Friday from May 21:
A preview of club action for the weekend ahead, focusing on the Eastern Premier Division.
A preview of club action for the weekend ahead, focusing on the Western Premier Division.
A preview of club action for the weekend ahead, focusing on the Women’s Premier League.
Every Tuesday from May 25:
