Former Scotland Player Bobby Hill Dies

Scottish Cricket was saddened to hear of the death of Bobby Hill on Sunday, aged 79. He played seven games for Scotland during the 1960s, with a top score of 50 in one of the three games he played against Warwickshire. He also regularly appeared for West of Scotland District during the 60s & early 70s in their annual match against East of Scotland.

He went on to be a successful & well-liked Team Manager of the national side in the late 1990s, most notably in the 1997 trip to Kuala Lumpur for the ICC Trophy, where Scotland finished 3rd to qualify for the World Cup Finals, then the World Cup Finals themselves in 1999, staged in Scotland & England.
