During the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier match between Scotland and Kenya in Dubai on 19 October 2019, Tom Sole was reported for a suspect illegal bowling action by the on-field umpires.
Sole’s bowling was captured during his next match against PNG and reviewed by the Event Panel. Following this, an assessment was conducted and the report concluded that Tom should be suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.
Tom remains part of Scotland’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier and will continue to be supported by Cricket Scotland.
Tom Sole and Cricket Scotland have not yet responded to the report.
No further comment will be made at this stage.
