In 2017 the men’s Performance squad pick their Player of the Month within the Cricket Scotland pathway system, so excludes the national team and youth level.
The winner for the months of April and May voted by the Performance squad players is Michael Jones who scored two 170s for Scotland A and for Durham 2s. Michael has recently played for the Western Warriors and is based in Liverpool.
Cricket Scotland’s National Performance Coach, Toby Bailey, said, “Michael came to La Manga with the squad for a pre-season camp and has certainly hit the ground running.
Other notable performers were Dylan Budge and Tom Sole who finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. It is great to see these players putting in match winning performances to push for national honours.”
The Development squad will travel down to Wheetwood Hall for a three day encounter with Yorkshire Academy from 4th-6th July.
