Kathryn and Sarah Bryce to appear in Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy

The month-long tournament has been brought in for 2020 only in light of the global coronavirus pandemic.

Scotland internationals Kathryn and Sarah Bryce will this summer feature for Lightning Cricket in the new Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy – a 50-over tournament staged in England for 2020 to ensure women’s cricket can be played despite the challenges of COVID-19.

Held over August and September, the competition features eight teams from across England – four from the North and four from the South.

Lightning Cricket is the East Midlands-based team in the new Women’s Elite Domestic Cricket Structure, brought into effect this season, and partners with Loughborough University, Derbyshire CCC, Leicestershire CCC, Nottinghamshire CCC and Lincolnshire.

The side is coached by former Scotland international Rob Taylor.
