Bob McFarlane President

Bob McFarlaneBob has had a passion for cricket from an early age when he was introduced to the game at the picturesque setting of his local club Rossie Priory. Now in his early fifties this is his forty fourth year of wielding the willow.

During this time he has played both for Rossie and also for Perthshire in the Scottish Counties,  taking over 800 wickets and scoring more than 15,000 runs. By his own admission time and injury has caught up with him and he now contributes  more with the bat than the ball and is still performing for Rossie competing in the Small Clubs Cup, which his beloved Rossie Priory eventually won in 2004 after losing out in 1987 and 2000

He has held just about every Administration post in the old Perthshire League and has just stepped down from a spell as President of the Strathmore and Perthshire Union, which he was instrumental in setting up in 2003, with the merger of the Perthshire League and Strathmore Union.

A Civil Servant by occupation, he is also well know for his after dinner speaking as well as preparing the pitch at The Priory each week during the season.
