2013 ASDA National Primary Schools’ Cup

17 Jun

The 2013 ASDA National Primary Schools’ Cup will culminate with a National Finals’ Day at the picturesque Doo’Cot Park in Perth, on Tuesday 18th June.

In order to reach Finals’ Day, Primary Schools have won through a series of Regional Qualifying Tournaments.  This format has ensured that Cricket Scotland has been able to continue to generate further interest, and additional participation, in the game – as well as providing a competitive outlet for primary school cricket teams.

The schools that have qualified for Finals’ Day are as follows:

Applegrove Primary School
Craigbank Primary School
Donibristle Primary School
Drumlanrig & Denholm
Errol Primary School
Fossoway Primary School
George Watson’s College
Gordon Primary School
Hutchesons’ Grammar School
James Gillespie’s Primary School
Langholm Primary School
Loretto Junior School
Portmoak Primary School
Rosebank Primary School
Timmergreens Primary School
Williamston Primary School

Congratulations to all these schools on reaching this stage of the tournament. Thanks to on-going support from the official National Primary Schools’ Cup partner, ASDA, and the hard work of staff and volunteers, the competition has grown from 234 Primary Schools in the inaugural event in 2009 to over 500 in 2013.
