Cricket Deal Direct add backing to Women's Cricket
Cricket Scotland's commitment to the women's game continues with the announcement today of a specially negotiated package to bring quality cricket gear within the reach of cricketers at all levels.
Cricket Scotland has agreed to work with Cricket Deal Direct (CDD) a specialist importer of cricket equipment designed by women for women.
As CDD Managing Director, Ian Anderson explains, "By cutting out the middleman, CDD is able to pass on the savings and supply top quality SM brand bats, gloves and pads at affordable prices, along with a full range or equipment for juniors and men, as well as coaching and ground equipment.
CDD shares Cricket Scotland's passion for women's cricket, and we are delighted to be providing match balls for the women's National League and Scottish Cup competitions as well as supporting the indoor tournaments."
To take full advantage of the package agreed between Cricket Scotland and CDD, all female cricketers should quote 'Wildcats' on any orders placed.
Kari Carswell, Cricket Scotland's Women's Cricket Manager, is excited about working with CDD and said "The SM equipment in particular is great and it's exciting that CDD has a women's range. There is nothing worse than having to use oversized gloves or pads! We have been talking for a few months now and I'm pleased that CDD can be used as a one stop shop for not only our female cricketers and clubs but everyone. They have a great range of playing and coaching equipment, medals, trophies - you name it and they've probably got it".
Scotland Women's captain Abbi Aitken already uses SM equipment supplied by CDD along with Scotland Captain, Preston Mommsen and internationlist Con de Lange who are SM Ambassadors.
