Cricket Scotland partner up with CricHQ
Cricket Scotland is delighted to announce a new partnership with live scoring giants CricHQ for the 2013 season.
Following the growing demand for real time updates, we are pleased that we will be able to provide live scoring from a number of matches across the season, including the One Day Internationals against Pakistan and also the fixtures between Japan, with the Wildcats XI v Japan Women on Wednesday.
CricHQ are world leaders in cricket technology with a platform built specifically for the benefit of leagues, clubs, players and fans. CricHQ has been developed in New Zealand and is backed by a number of high-profile investors including England spinner Graeme Swann and current New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.
As well as helping people stay in touch with their team CricHQ also offers a unique competition management system and produces high-level data that can be invaluable to coaches and players. At the touch of a screen scorers can upload the score and at the same time produce everything from 3D wagon wheels to pitch maps and run charts.
Jamie Burton Sales and Marketing Manager for CricHQ commented, "We are delighted to have entered into partnership with Cricket Scotland. By using CricHQ's live scoring function supporters will be able to follow ball by ball coverage of matches as they happen. We believe this will not only help raise the profile of Cricket Scotland at home but also throughout the world.
"As a Scot this is something I am particularly passionate about and it is great to kick our partnership off with the historic visit of Japan."
Cricket Scotland Media Manager Ben Fox said, “The Wildcats recent tour of Dubai and Abu Dhabi was the first time we managed to see how the CricHQ system worked, and we were extremely impressed with the feedback from the system.
2013 is a massive year for Scottish cricket and with technological developments such as these will help spread the promotion of the sport in the country.”
The Wildcats and President's XI fixtures will be scored live from 1-2 May.
The four day match against Australia A taking place 7-10 of June in Edinburgh will also be available through CricHQ, along with the One Day International against Australia.
