Cricket Scotland Launch New Strategic Plan
Cricket Scotland has today published their four-year strategic plan that will run from 2016-2019.
Members and affiliates of the National Governing Body were shown the plan during the AGM held in Glasgow last month.
There are great opportunities for increased participation at club and school level and, with Cricket Scotland’s help, we believe we can get more children involved in the sport over the next four years.
Girls and women’s cricket has also played a major part in the growth aspirations we have identified, with the aim of encouraging more girls into the Scottish game.
Our representative sides have been set ambitious targets over the four years, though we recognise the difficulty in attracting quality fixtures makes this an even tougher target to reach.
Finally, we identify the importance of attracting more corporate support for cricket in Scotland - both financially and in terms of profile - and we recognise that the future strength and growth of the sport cannot depend solely on government and ICC support.
Please feel free to share the strategy with anyone you feel will benefit from it and please direct any questions firstname.lastname@example.org
