CS Holdings Limited Annual General Meeting 2015
On Wednesday 25th March the 2015 Cricket Scotland Holdings Limited Annual General Meeting took place inside the Stewart's Melville pavilion, Edinburgh.
Approximately 30 Clubs were represented at the meeting, with CS Board and Executive members also present.
The focus of the evening was the presentation of the Annual Report and the Accounts and on the Cricket Scotland Holdings Limited Board Elections. The positions of Chairman, President Elect and two Directors were up for election.
Tony Brian was elected as Chair, replacing Keith Oliver after a 12 year tenure in the position.
Cricket Scotland would like to thank Mr Oliver for all his achievements during his time as Chair, and for the time and commitment he gave to the role.
Bob McFarlane was re-elected to the board, while Paul Reddish filled the vacant spot after John Ross chose not to stand for re-election.
Mr Ross was also thanked for his contribution to the organisation during his three year spell as a Director.
Bruce Dixon was elected as President Elect and will succeed Colin Neill as Cricket Scotland President at next year’s AGM.
Keith Oliver reflected on the 2014 Annual Report and highlighted a number of achievements in 2014, notably the 2014 World Cup Qualifying campaign, and the creation of the Scottish Women’s Cricket Association. The excellent achievements of the Scotland U15 team in 2014 were also mentioned.
Finance Director Bert Barclay presented a more detailed presentation on the financial figures in the annual report, with a number of questions taken from the floor.
Former and current Scotland captains were honoured for their achievements on and off the field, as Gordon Drummond was given the Basil D’Oliveira Bowl for outstanding contributions across all areas of cricket.
Preston Mommsen collected his Associate and Affiliate Player of the Year award and the HK More Batting Trophy for 2014.
Kari Carswell was announced as the Women’s Batting and Bowling Player of the Year, and also Player’s Player in 2014.
