Dundee FPCC Enter CSL in 2013

22 Oct

It has been announced that Dundee High School Former Pupils Cricket Club will participate in the Cricket Scotland League (CSL) during the 2013 season.

Fauldhouse Victoria CC, who finished fifth in the CSL Eastern First division in 2012, took the voluntary decision to opt out of the CSL and return to the East League in 2013.

This resulted in Dundee FPCC, who claimed the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Premier Division in 2012, being invited to take part in the CSL.

Graham McLaren, President of Dundee HSFPCC said,  “We are honoured to be entering East League Division 1 in 2013, and will be working hard over the winter to ensure that our third experience in the National League is a lasting one. We did in fact fail to gain promotion in the last two seasons’ play-off games, so have been knocking on the door. We are delighted to have made it at last, albeit by the back door”.

League Administrator, Ramsay Allan also said, “Cricket Scotland is pleased to welcome Dundee High School FP into the National League and we wish them well.”
