Cricket Scotland has announced Ian Sandbrook as their new Eastern Regional Participation Manager.

Ian Sandbrook Ian, originally from Palmerston North in New Zealand, has already taken up his new role and has spent the past few weeks meeting key stakeholders. He brings with him an extensive knowledge of sports development, with his previous positions as Cricket Development Manager, and most recently, Operations Manager at Manawatu Cricket Association in New Zealand.

The position has been made available after a structural re-shuffle, and Ian’s remit will now stretch from Fife down to the Borders.

As well as a background in sports development, Ian also has a solid knowledge of top class cricket, having previously represented Central Districts Under-19s, New Zealand Under-19s and has a List-A 50 to his name.

Commenting on his new role Ian Sandbrook said, “I`m thoroughly looking forward to this new challenge and working with all stakeholders in the East to grow our great game. It`s an exciting time for cricket in Scotland and I`m determined to work closely with everyone involved to make cricket Scotland`s number one summer sport.“.
