This Wednesday (7th August) the Highlanders host the Reivers at the Grange in Game 4 of the Pro50 Series. Both teams will be keen to put last week’s drawn match behind them; when only twenty overs play were possible over the three scheduled days.

The Reivers lead the Series 1-0 and know that a win would secure the Pro50 Series Trophy; while the Highlanders will be desperate to take the Series into game 5 at Mannofield.

The Reivers have named a familiar line up, since the departure of the Under 19 players, with the Dumfries duo of Peter Lojczszyk and Scott Beveridge recalled for the shorter format.

The Highlanders have delayed naming their squad until closer to the fixture.

The potential decider, which is scheduled for Mannofield on the 18th August, has now been rearranged to take place on Wednesday 28th August. The decision was taken by the event Technical Committee, due to the large number of players from several clubs that could potentially miss out on the Murgatroyd T20 Finals day.

Performance Director Andy Tennant stated “While the Pro Series takes precedence over club cricket it was decided that, with additional dates available, that it would be possible to re-schedule the game and allow the national club T20 finals to take place with the best players available.”
