North Sea Pro Series week three

18 May

The third round of matches of the North Sea Pro Series gets underway today (Sunday) as the Highlanders host the Hurricanes in Dundee. After back-to-back wins over the Reivers last week they will be looking to take their form starting with the T20 this afternoon. The Reivers themselves travel to Rotterdam to take on the Seafarers and will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance.

The quick pace of the series with games every weekend gives players from both countries the chance to impress at a level higher than club cricket and experience playing many games in the one week.

After the all-Dutch encounters were both washed out last week, our friends from KNCB will be hoping to take advantage of some Scottish sunshine which saw most club cricket being played over the weekend. The good weather is set to continue with the forecast for Rotterdam warm and dry.

The Highlanders are currently leading the T20 series with two wins from two, whereas both Dutch teams are tied at the bottom with one loss and one no result. The 50 over series table is alot tighter, wiht the Seafarers lying just ahead of both Scottish teams who have both picked up a bonus point along with one victory and one loss.

For updates from today, follow @NorthSeaPS on twitter there will be live tweeting from both grounds. QuipuTV will again be stationed in Scotland for video highlights of the game from Dundee, and you will be able to find them and a match report back here on Cricket Scotland.
