24 Sep

Preston MommsenPreston Mommsen will be mingling with some of the world's greatest cricketers when he joins the Lashings All-Stars this week for the BREDS Cup in Jamaica.

The Scotland captain joins up with the All-Stars for a T20 tournament at Treasure Beach on the south of the island, with the opposition coming from Red Force, Westmoreland and BHC, with a House of Commons and Lord's XI also participating.

Gordon Greenidge, still batting and keeping wicket for Lashings into his sixties, played for Scotland in 1990, while Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat has also represented both teams.  Spinner Peter Such, born in Helensburgh, was a regular wicket taker for Lashings during the 2000s.

The Tour begins today (Thursday) when Lashings play a ceremonial opener against the House of Commons and Lord's XI. For more information visit
