Scottish Cup Quarter Finals 2014
The Quarter Finals of the 2014 Scottish Cup took place on Sunday with East Kilbride, Clydesdale, Grange and Ferguslie all booking their places in the next round.
PSL Clydesdale secured the most convincing win of the day, after destroying Watsonians, at Myreside by 10 wickets.
The Watsonian top-order found themselves on the back foot early on during their innings, with Carson, Chalmers and Murray all back in the pavilion with only 5 runs on the board.
Stewart Chalmers did offer some resistance with 44, but Watsonians were eventually out for 123 in the final over.
Con de Lange made light work of the required total, blasting 82, together with Sam Page (30*), as the visitors reached the total in just 14 overs.
A half-century from Jack Henderson proved in vain after Falkland set East Kilbride a competitive 213, as Josh Johnstone claimed a five wicket haul.
Gavin Meikle (64) and Moneeb Iqbal (59) guided East Kilbride to a six wicket win.
An all Eastern clash between SMRH and Grange resulted in comfortable win for the Raeburn Place outfit.
Gordon Goudie (4/37) and Arun Pilliai (2/23) played a vital part in bowling SMRH out for 174.
A swashbuckling 89* from George Munsey helped secure their place in the Semi Finals with a 7 wicket win.
Elsewhere Ferguslie dumped Aberdeenshire out of the competition thanks to a fifty from Gregor Preston Jones and five wickets for Zimbabwe internationalist, Keith Dabengwa, giving them a 34 run victory.
