Scottish Indians versus Scottish Pakistanis

The third annual Scottish Indians versus Scottish Pakistanis fixture will take place on the 14th of August 2016 at Shawholm , home of Poloc Cricket Club.  Hopefully the day will raise as much money for The Ucare Foundation Charity and we can celebrate the uniquely multicultural community of Scottish Cricket and raise the awareness of cricket in Scotland.

"The precursor to the match will be a T20 match featuring a team of Asian veterans against a team of Asian youngsters starting time 10am, with the main match starting at 1.30pm. 

There will be the flag raising ceremonies of both teams and playing of the national anthems.  As ever the best of Scottish Indian and Scottish Pakistani players will hope to entertain the spectators with exciting T20 cricket, in coloured clothing, with one win a piece it will be a fiercely contested match. 

Mohammed Ramzan, former Pakistan Test player and seasoned Scottish professional, will captain the Scottish Pakistanis, and Uddingston stalwart Ricky Bawa will captain the Scottish Indians side, with a number of players who have played for Scotland at various levels featuring.  There will be food stalls, bouncy castle and pony rides: plenty for the whole family to be entertained with. 

And with free entry it will be a great day out for cricket enthusiasts and families from all cultures. 

The teams are: Scottish Indians: Ricky Bawa, Chayank Gossain, Sachin Chaudhray, Ashikanth Davidar, Arun Pillai, Harmanjit Singh, Gurprit Singh, Murtaza Trunkwalla, Nitin Thakur, Deepak Yadav and Sameer Zia.

Scottish Pakistanis: Mohammed Ramzan, Anwar Hafeez, Moneeb Iqbal, Fazal Jawad, Umair khan, Habib Malik, Itisham Malik, Owais Shah, Amer Shahzad, Qasim Sheikh, Adil Raza and Shahzad Rafiq.
