STK Cricket Autumn Camp
STK Cricket are delighted to announce that they will be running an Autumn Coaching Camp at the National Cricket Academy, Mary Erskine School between Monday 20th and Friday 24th October.
The aims of the camp are to allow anyone with hardball experience (up to a maximum age of 17) to develop their cricket skills in a challenging but fun environment and make some new friends along the way.
Owner Steven Knox said, ‘Because of the timing of the Autumn Camp in relation to the cricket season it has developed into our most technical camp. We spend more time working on technique and skill acquisition and less time on the tactical side of the game and decision making in game situations.
For that reason a strong coaching team is absolutely crucial and we’re delighted to have secured the services of ex-Scotland internationals John Blain and Clarence Parfitt at various stages throughout the week as well as current Scotland Development XI wicket keeper Charlie MacLeod.
Game time isn’t completely forgotten though and our end of week tri-series where each team of eight players plays two games throughout the day is always hotly contested by the participants. The week concludes with a prize giving where the winning team get first choice of the various prizes available.
The highlight of the prize giving is the Player of the Week award which is awarded to the player who in the opinion of the coaches has best exhibited the attributes and values deemed important by STK Cricket.’
The camp has less than 10 places available out of a maximum of 24 and can be booked for the whole week at a cost of £200 or on a daily basis at a cost of £45 per day.
