STK Cricket Camp
The first 2015 event we have is the World Cup Winter Coaching Camp which will be taking place at the National Cricket Academy in the same week as Scotland begin their World Cup campaign in New Zealand. For that reason there will be a strong emphasis on the skills necessary to develop into an excellent one day cricketer. There will be some technical sessions but also plenty of opportunities to put these skills into practice in both competitive net and game scenarios.
The players will have access to the latest ‘Coaches Eye’ digital analysis software along with the services of four ECB qualified coaches including the legendary Clarence Parfitt who will be working with the spinners on two of the days.
Next up beginning on the 30th March is our Scottish Spring Camp which is always a really popular camp to get in some intensive training before the start of the 2015 season. This camp starts to focus more on making good decisions in competitive situations and less on technique. There will be lots of game based practices which present plenty of opportunities for players to develop their tactical awareness and their team skills. This will again take place at the National Cricket Academy with a really strong four man ECB qualified coaching team on hand to assist the 24 players present. At this stage this Camp has only 12 places remaining so we would advise moving quickly if you want to secure a place.
Finally our biggest event of the year is our Spanish Spring Coaching Tour which is taking place in the week following the Scottish Camp. Following two successful trips to the La Manga Sports Complex in Murcia, Spain over the past two springs we are returning for a third visit but adding on another element with the final two days of the tour spent down in Malaga with two games taking place at the beautiful Cartama Oval which has the only grass wicket in Spain. Whilst at La Manga we’ll train both in the superb artificial nets and out on the two immaculate ovals that we will have available at our disposal. We’ll also play a couple of games against local Spanish opposition and have an opportunity to take part in lots of fun evening activities including the now infamous STK Cricket Masterchef competition!
The price of £775 is all inclusive and covers the following:
- return flights from Edinburgh to Alicante/Malaga
- 4 star accommodation in the beautiful Las Lomas Apartments at the La Manga complex and at the Petit Palace hotel in Malaga
- the services of four ECB qualified coaches
- all food and drink
- internal transport in four Mercedes MPVs
- group travel insurance
The tour is a superb opportunity for the players to improve their all round game, hit the 2015 season running and also make some new friends in a fun, enjoyable environment.
