07 Mar

STK Cricket have several places remaining on their Spanish Spring Coaching Tour which is taking place between Sunday 5th and Saturday 11th April 2015 at the La Manga Sports Complex in Murcia and the Cartama Oval in Malaga flying out of and into Edinburgh airport.

The owner of STK Cricket, Steven Knox describes the tour in more detail:

‘Following two successful trips to the La Manga Sports Complex in Murcia, Spain over the past two springs we are returning for a third visit and adding on another element with the final two days of the tour spent down in Malaga with two games taking place at the beautiful Cartama Oval which has the only grass wicket in Spain.

Whilst at La Manga we’ll train both in the superb artificial nets and out on the two immaculate ovals that we will have available at our disposal. We’ll also play a couple of games against local Spanish opposition and have an opportunity to take part in lots of fun evening activities including the now infamous STK Cricket Masterchef competition!

The price of £700 is all inclusive and covers the following:

  • return flights from Edinburgh to Alicante/Malaga
  • 4 star accommodation in the beautiful Las Lomas Apartments at the La Manga complex and at the Petit Palace hotel in Malaga
  • the services of ECB qualified coaches
  • all food and drink
  • internal transport in Mercedes MPVs
  • group travel insurance

The tour is open to any junior cricketers who have experience of hardball cricket and who want to improve their game. There is no age restriction but most participants are between the ages of 11 and 16.

The tour represents a superb opportunity for all the participants to improve their all round game, hit the 2015 season running and also make some new friends in a fun, enjoyable environment.

We will be focussing on the following areas whilst we are away:

  • Technical improvements in your batting, bowling and wicket keeping skills and an opportunity to put these into practice in competitive net practice and game situations
  • Technical improvements in your fielding skills and a chance to put these into practice in various game situations
  • Tactical and decision making improvements in your batting, bowling, and captaining skills facilitated by lots of ‘game situation’ practices
  • The chance to play in two games against external opposition in both La Manga (on artificial wickets) and Malaga (on a grass wicket)
  • Analyse your game with the most up to date video analysis equipment include ‘Coaches Eye’ software
