Tapeball in the West Winter Wonderland

21 Jan

With much of the west region sitting under a blanket of snow and ice, Saturday 17th January saw the launch of a new Cricket Scotland participation initiative, Tapeball.

Tapeball is a non-traditional format of the sport, which is played with a tennis ball that has been wrapped in electrical tape.  Tapeball has been played in Glasgow before - with Clydesdale CC, Victoria CC and Active Life Club all having hosted tournaments during the previous 5 years.  However, this project sees weekly sessions return to the Hutchesons' Grammar School Sports Hall.

The project is being supported by the Sports Council for Glasgow, through their Club Grant Scheme – and Cricket Scotland is delighted to be working in partnership with the Sports Council to ensure that the project is possible.
