Wildcats head to Somerset

17 Jul

The Wildcats are back in 50 over action on Sunday when they take on Somerset at Bridlington Cricket Club.

Scotland will be searching for their first win in the Royal London 50 over competition after finding life in Division 2 difficult, although a times they have played some outstanding cricket.

Katheryn White, one of Scotland’s most experienced players, has been ruled out after suffering a nasty blow to the eye during the previous trip to Hampshire.

Sarah Bryce features in the senior squad for the first time and is an exciting young prospect for the future.

Ahead of the trip Head Coach Kari told the Cricket Scotland website, “We’ve had a break from the 50 over game and played a lot of T20 recently, so we are looking forward to playing the longer format.  We have a few squad changes due to injuries and availability but the 12 selected are an exciting bunch of cricketers, with a good mix of youth and experience. Kathryn White misses out through injury and we all wish her a speedy recovery.

We just need to do the things we have been doing well for longer periods and we will be fine”.
