Wildcats travel to Cheshire

28 Aug

After a short break the Wildcats are back in action on Monday when they play Cheshire in their penultimate Royal London Cup fixture on Monday at Hyde Cricket Club.

The Wildcats will be missing a number of familiar faces but this presents opportunities for some of the younger emerging players a taste of the surroundings of the national team.

Speaking ahead of the game Abbi Aitken is looking forward to getting back in 50 over action, "we've had a little bit of time without any ECB commitments so we are all raring to go.

We welcome Lisa and Ellen into the squad for the first time, both have represented the U17's this year so this will be a fantastic experience for them.  We welcome back Kirstie who's on loan at Nottinghamshire for this game, she gives us a different option with the ball.

We are missing a few due to work commitments and injury but the squad selected shows the depth that we now have within our programmes".

The squad in full is Abbi Aitken (c), Kathryn Bryce, Sarah Bryce, Lorna Jack, Katie McGill, Ollie Rae, Priyanaz Chatterji, Lisa Thomson, Kari Anderson, Kirstie Gordon, Briony Giilin, Ellen Watson.
