Willie Donald Announced as Interim CEO
The Board of Cricket Scotland is delighted to announce the appointment of Willie Donald as interim Chief Executive Officer until end September 2015 (or earlier if a permanent CEO is appointed).
Willie not only is well known in the Scottish cricketing world as a former player of the national team, who once captained the side at Lord's (with 57 caps between 1978 and 1987) but also has had a successful career in business working in finance and insurance in Aberdeen, the City of London and Edinburgh. In recent years Willie has run his own executive coaching and strategy consulting firm which has included working on long term projects for FTSE 100 companies.
Tony Brian, the Chair of Cricket Scotland, said " Willie has strong skills in a number of areas from which Cricket Scotland can benefit, including marketing. In addition he is absolutely passionate about Scottish cricket and helping it progress.
I know Cricket Scotland will benefit greatly from that passion and the skills Willie brings over the next six months as we carry out important tasks, including especially delivery of the ICC World T20 Qualifying tournament in Scotland in the summer."
