Women's Indoor Tournaments - Winter 2012/13

Cricket Scotland has announced it will again be running four indoor tournaments for girls and women over the winter months.
In recent years the tournaments have been a fantastic development for female cricketers in Scotland. The quick-paced, small-sided games ensure players are involved with every ball. Clubs, schools and other organisations are invited to enter their team(s) into the events. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Kari Carswell, Women’s Cricket Manager, can’t wait for the indoor competitions to get started, stating “I really enjoy going along to these events and seeing some old and new faces playing the game. Indoor cricket is great - we don’t have to rely on the weather for games to be on, and the quick paced nature of the games doesn’t leave you standing around for too long.”
When asked about the other benefits of indoor cricket she added, “It is a really good way to improve your skills over the winter months, and clubs and teams are now starting to know one another – you can never discount the importantance of the social aspect of the game.”
