On congratulating the young award winners, Elite Player Development Manager, Craig Wright reflected on a successful season, “2014 was an excellent season for our national youth teams.  The U19s played in the World Cup in the UAE, both the U15 and U17 squads won their respective groups in the ECB County competitions, with the U15s defeating Gloucestershire in the final to take the overall title.”

“The inter-regional competitions also were fiercely contested with the vast majority of fixtures completed and some competitive cricket played.  The Eastern Knights were worthy winners in both competitions, finishing undefeated at U15 level and also taking the multi-format U18 title ahead of the Caledonian Highlanders.”

“There were several notable individual performances across the board in the youth team programme in 2014, but all the award winners deserve their recognition for their consistent contributions to their respective teams.“
