Ollie Rae was born in county Durham and took up cricket from playing around on the side-lines of her brother’s cricket practice. She played for Durham County from the age of 10, moving to Scotland in 2010, moving to The University of Edinburgh to study.
She is a passionate opening batter who has one of the best techniques in the squad and is also an excellent fielder. She impressed during the ICC European Qualifier in Essex where she scored 73 runs. Rae is one of Scotland’s more experienced players and leads by example at the top of the order. Her passion for cricket led to her becoming a coach aged 17 and since has become level 3 qualified. Asides from cricket she enjoys yoga.
