Scotland Women's Squad

Priyanaz Chatterjji

Bio

Priyanaz was born and grew up in Dundee. Her love for cricket started in the back garden where she would play with her brother and sister under the supervision of father and grandmother. After returning from a year in Australia, aged six, she decided to follow her brother to the local cricket club, Forfarshire CC. Here she played in all junior age groups and eventually ended up playing for the senior teams. It wasn’t until Priyanaz was invited into the Scotland U16s at the age of 12 that she started playing girls cricket.

Priyanaz made her debut for Scotland in 2008, aged 15. After finishing school, she attended the University of Oxford where she studied Human Sciences. Following university, Priyanaz spent 8 months in Australia, where she played cricket in Perth for Subiaco Floreat CC. Here she gained invaluable experience playing alongside several Western Australia state players and was lucky enough to play at the WACA.

Following her return from Australia, Priyanaz moved to London where she now lives and plays for Finchley Gunns CC, here she has benefited from playing alongside several Middlesex players
