Scotland A travel down to Bath to open their season with two T20’s and two One Day games across Saturday, Sunday and Monday (21-23 April 2018) against Gloucestershire 2XI and Bath CC.

The squad features three members of the team that competed at the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier, with George Munsey, Michael Leask and Craig Wallace providing the experience in the side.

Last year’s U19 captain James Dickinson and team-mate Owais Shah also make the squad, while Ross Lyons earns another representative call up after impressing with the Western Warriors last season.

On the announcement Head Coach Grant Bradburn said, “The ‘A’ team programme is an important pathway to the national team and we look forward to getting the new season underway in Bath this weekend.

With both T20 and one day formats over the weekend, these fixtures are a great opportunity for our players to impress early on in the season.

Following the first two ‘A’ fixtures plus first round of Regional cricket, the national selectors will be naming a 20-man squad in early May, to prepare for the June internationals against Pakistan and England.”

Scotland A squad: George Munsey, Michael Leask, Owais Shah, Michael English, Dylan Budge, Craig Wallace, Ross Lyons, Christian Robertson, James Dickinson, Mitchell Rao, Adrian Neill, Elliot Ruthven, Abdul Sabri.
