Roddy Smith has been Chief Executive of Cricket Scotland since 2004. He originally trained as a physical education teacher and worked at Robert Gordon’s College in Aberdeen before taking a post with sportscotland where, over a ten year period he gained valuable experience in a number of management roles.
Roddy retired from club cricket at the end of the 2004 season after a long and successful career as an opening batsman for both Aberdeenshire and Grange. He has represented Scotland cricket teams at all age levels, culminating in his selection for the full international side in 1994.
