Cricket Scotland is delighted to announce Specsavers as the headline sponsor for the upcoming Scotland versus England One Day International on 10th June at the Grange, Edinburgh.
England recently announced a very strong squad for the match which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. As England are the current No 1 ranked team on the International Cricket Council’s World ODI ranking table, it is a great opportunity for Scotland’s fast improving team to pit their skills against the very best in the world.
Specsavers has also become the official partner for Test cricket played in England, starting with the India Test Series through to the end of 2019, including next year’s Specsavers Ashes Series. Specsavers’ new partnership with ECB reinforces its relationship as a long-term supporter of red ball cricket after becoming the current title partner of the Specsavers County Championship in 2016 and Partner of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) in 2014.
Jill McArthur, chairperson for Specsavers in Scotland, says: ‘We are very proud to play our part in supporting the Scotland Vs England One Day International. This partnership is about more than perimeter advertising. It is part of our wider cricket sponsorship and allows us to continue to support the development of top level and grassroots sport while highlighting the importance of ensuring your eyes are in top condition through regular eye tests carried out in our stores across Scotland.’
Malcolm Cannon, CEO of Cricket Scotland said “Cricket Scotland is delighted that Specsavers has included this important match in its ongoing support of the sport. Cricket has a long tradition in Scotland and our recent performances on the international stage have certainly raised the profile of the game significantly. We look forward to continuing this relationship with Specsavers in the future.”
