About the Wee Bash

The Wee Bash was launched in 2017 as the new brand for Cricket Scotland’s Female Indoor Cricket Tournaments. Monthly tournaments are played alternately in Glasgow and Edinburgh culminating in a Finals Day at the National Cricket Academy, MES Sports Centre in Edinburgh on Sunday 5th April 2020.

The short 5-over format means games are fast and exciting to play in. The “windball” allows for players of all abilities to mix, number of mother-daughter combinations have starred The Wee Bash in the past!

Nic Wison, Cricket Scotland’s Head of Participation said: “It’s fantastic to see so many teams from across Scotland enjoying The Wee Bash. It is very much a social event, a way to keep in touch outside the traditional summer cricket season. The format also allows new players to experience cricket matches in a relaxed and safe environment.”

This years tournament has a record 15 teams taking part – if you would like to enter a team in future tournaments please get in touch with the CS Participation team on 0131 313 7420.
