T20 Beyond Boundaries Scottish Cup Finals Day

The Beyond Boundaries Women’s T20 Scottish Cup reaches its conclusion this Saturday (9 September) at the 2017 Finals Day at Stirling County CC.

Last year’s winners George Watsons College, who got through on a bye, will take on home club Stirling County for a place in the final.

Georgia Henderson and the Bryce sisters will provide leadership and experience to the young George Watson’s College team. Stirling County captain Charlotte Dalton said that despite the weather affected summer, her team have trained hard throughout and are really looking forward to playing on home turf after hosting the Women’s Regional T20 Qualifiers in August.

Wildcat Lorna Jack has had an excellent season with the bat and Lois Wilkinson has been a valuable spinning option and aggressive batting option for the Scotland Wildcats this summer.

With the experienced Charlotte Dalton and Scotland u17 wicketkeeper/batman Ellen Watson, Stirling have a plenty of exciting players.

The winner of the morning fixture will face Carlton CC in the final at 14.30. The in-form Katie McGill scored 99* the previous week in a convincing win over an inexperienced Watsonians side to secure Carlton’s place in the final.

Carlton are also winners of the 2017 Cricket Deal Direct Women’s Premier League and with an experienced team including Wildcats, Scotland A and Scotland u17 players, would have to be favourites for the Scottish Cup title as well.

Date: Saturday 9 September 2017
Venue: Stirling County CC

Schedule: 10.30am George Watson’s College v Stirling County CC
14.30 FINAL winner GWC/SCCC v Carlton CC
