Scotland A came back to level the T20 series versus Ireland Wolves on Tuesday at Oak Hill with an emphatic seven wicket victory having chased down 166 in 15 overs.

Having lost the second T20 match on Monday by four wickets, a strong bowling performance restricted Ireland Wolves to 166/9 with Leask 4-42 and Tahir 2-18.

Munsey led the chase reaching 50 off 21 balls and finished on 69 when caught by Tucker. His partnership of 46 with Budge set up a strong foundation for Scotland A to push on. Budge and Wallace made 23 before Budge was caught by Delaney on 28 after 10 overs.

Wallace was joined by Bradburn in the 10 over with Scotland requiring 51 to win and they made short work of this target getting over the line in the 15th over.

With the first match being abandoned due to rain, the series and trophy were shared ending a successful trip to Oak Hill for Scotland A, having won the 50 Over series in the previous week.

Scotland Men’s National Coach Shane Burger was with the squad in Ireland and was pleased with what he saw throughout the tour. “It has been an interesting ten days in Ireland with the A team. We had some really tough cricket and I am impressed with the way we handled the conditions at Oak Hill.

“We played some impressive cricket in winning the 50 Over series and although some errors cost us the 2nd T20 match we bounced back with a convincing win in the 3rd match to level the series.”

Scotland A take on the MCC in two 50 Over matches and two back to back T20 matches at Clydesdale CC on 25th, 26th and 27th June.
