Hi. I’m Lea, Girls and Women’s Development Officer for Cricket Scotland. My role requires me to work with the Community Development Managers, to increase the numbers of girls and women playing cricket in Scotland, increase the number of female coaches and leaders in cricket and to improve the quality and quantity of competition.
My involvement in Cricket started in October 2006 when I started my UKCC 1 Assistant Coach Award in Edinburgh. After achieving my coaching certificate, I began employment at the City of Edinburgh Council as a Sporting Chance Cricket Coach. This involved delivering cricket sessions to Edinburgh state primary schools and providing pathways to local cricket clubs via After School Clubs and Community Clubs. I play cricket for Edinburgh University Cricket Club and Murrayfield DAFS.
I’m currently in my second year at Edinburgh University studying Applied Sport Science.
