Wildcat’s ‘A’ squad will contest two home matches this weekend as they host Durham and Northumberland in a double header on 28 and 29 May 2017.

The first match against Durham will be held at the picturesque ground of St Boswells in the Borders before congregating at Grange Loan, the home of Carlton CC for the match on Monday.

The Wildcat’s ‘A’ squad compete in the ECB Division 3 One Day Cup with the aim of giving opportunities to players who are on the edge of the senior squad to impress and force their way into the selectors minds.

Scotland captain Abbi Aitken returns to the squad although Olivia Rae will captain the “A’ side. The full Wildcats squad are competing Division 2 in the ECB T20 competition.

Head coach of Wildcats ‘A’ Gordon Allan said “We have been able to select from a slightly wider squad for this set of fixtures, with players returning from injury or who are now finished with school/university commitments. Having won our previous two games, the squad are in good spirits and looking forward to our remaining games. The team are also looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd, it doesn’t happen very often so we hope that people can make their way down to the grounds and support.”
