Jim Young Past President

Jim Young has been a partner in a medium size Glasgow legal firm for over 30 years, having been educated at Ardrossan Academy and Glasgow University. He was introduced to cricket at a very early age by his father, who played for Ardeer. Jim joined West of Scotland CC in 1977 after moving to Glasgow. He was Secretary there for 19 years before stepping down last year to take on his current role as President of the SCU. He remains heavily involved with his Club and continues to run its extremely active junior section. Jim is also currently Secretary of the WDCU Junior Section, a member of the WDCU Executive Committee, and Chairman of Cricket Scotland’s Disciplinary Committee.
